1. General requirements
1.1 In the quality assurance of additional education, Westweld Koolituskeskus is guided by the adult education act, the guidance quality material of additional education for adults provided for educational institutions for additional education, the teacher's code of ethics for adults, the Charter, the basics of the educational organization and the internal regulations.
1.2 Westweld Koolituskeskus offers adult-oriented vocational education.
1.3 In conducting training and communicating with clients, the teacher is guided by value-based relationships, openness, honesty and responsiveness. The basic values of Westweld Koolituskeskus work: trustworthiness and high quality. During the training we are guided by the principles of andragogy: equality, partnership, practicality, tolerance, independence and active participation.
2. Target groups and their training needs
2.1 Target groups Westweld Koolituskeskus are the following: independent adult learners and staff.
2.1.1 Depending on the course, some courses require the participant to have a laptop.
2.1.2 The group size varies, depending on the content of the training, but the aim in any case is to provide an individual approach within the period of the educational process.
2.1.3 Before the course begins, we will analyse the training needs of the individual participant and the training group, based on the content of the training and the learning objectives. Support students in describing individual learning goals, helping to link them to curriculum goals.
3. Terms and procedures for quality assurance of the learning environment
3.1. Westweld Koolituskeskus conducts training in its training facilities or in a location proposed by the customer, which must meet the requirements of health and safety.
3.2. Create an educational environment, using various methods to create a learning environment conducive to physical and social.
3.3 In the preparation of training facilities guided by the fact that the student was there to learn: the room should be friendly, have enough air and space to move, not too cold and not too hot, good lighting throughout the room, comfortable chairs and their good location, the necessary training materials (working tools and devices).
3.4 Depending on the course and the need, Internet connection can be used during the training.
3.5 In each training the participants are provided with assistance after training. Questions are answered by e-mail, telephone or through classroom consultations.
3.6 Westweld Koolituskeskus provides each participant with coffee break.
4. Terms and procedures for the quality assurance of curricula
4.1 When planning a training plans there are guided by the law of adult education, guidance material on the planning and the standards of additional education.
4.2 The curriculum Westweld Koolituskeskus are the following particulars:
1) name of the curriculum;
2) curriculum group;
3) learning outcomes;
4) conditions for the training start in case they are a pre-condition for the achievement of learning outcomes;
5) the total amount of training, including the total amount of classroom and practical work;
6) course contents;
7) description of the learning environment;
8) the list of training materials if they are provided for the passage of the curriculum;
9) the conditions of graduation and the documents issued;
10) description of the qualifications required to conduct the training, a description of the training or work experience.
4.3 The curriculum is based on the needs of the target groups and each training should have a practical focus and help the target group achieve better and measurable results.
4.4 Each training has a reference to the current curriculum.
5. Terms and procedures for ensuring the quality of teachers
5.1 Teachers should have professional education in welding, internationally recognized qualifications, they should be active in the field of training and have relevant experience that they can prove.
5.2 Teachers should share the principles of andragogy and meet the requirements of the professional standard for adult educators.
5.3 After the end of the training, the teacher gives the director Westweld Koolituskeskus feedback on the results of the training and makes suggestions for improvements.
6. Procedure for collecting feedback on additional training
6.1 Westweld Koolituskeskus asks each student for feedback and suggestions for improvement. Feedback can be given both in writing on paper, and digitally and orally (recorded in writing by the organizer of training).
6.2 Westweld Koolituskeskus collects the following data about teachers: name, e-mail, phone number, address, education and personal code. A personal code is required for identification or reference. Personal data are processed in accordance with the law on personal data protection.
